Keeling Over

Having been debated at Second Reading by the House of Commons on 12 February 2025, the Data (Use and Access) Bill was committed to a Public Bill Committee for detailed consideration commencing 04 March 2025.

Handley Gill has submitted written evidence on the Data (Use & Access) Bill in response to the Committee’s call for evidence on the Data (Use and Access) Bill, which has now been published by the Committee

In the course of preparing our evidence, we updated the Keeling Schedules (demonstrating the effect that the provisions of the Data Use & Access Bill would have on the UK’s existing data protection legislation, as set out in the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and Data Protection Act 1998) we prepared when the Data (Use and Access) Bill was introduced in the House of Lords to reflect the Bill as it was transferred over to the House of Commons.

In order to support our clients and the wider data protection compliance community, as well as Parliamentarians tasked with scrutinising the Data (Use & Access) Bill, we are happy to share those updated Keeling schedules relating to the Data (Use and Access) Bill.
